Ocala Royal Dames for Cancer Research Endowed Scholarship

Dear Donor,

It is with great joy and honor that I write this letter to thank you for awarding me with the Ocala Royal Dames for Cancer Research Endowed Scholarship. This award has made a huge impact on my academic journey.

A dream can alter much in a person’s life. It affects everyone in various fields/education and pushes oneself towards a better future. For me, that dream is nursing school. I dreamt throughout my years what it would be like to become a nurse- what nursing school would be like, the impact I would have in my career, what friends I would make along the way etc. Now, having been officially accepted/ started in the College of Central Florida’s nursing program those dreams that seemed insurmountable and “for in another life”, no longer do.

While I know unfortunately I may never get the opportunity to say thank you in person, I would like to take this chance to sincerely say thank you and the members of the Ocala Royal Dames for this generous award. My goals for the future and after graduation are to work in the hospital as an ICU trauma registered nurse, and then after time of experience and education, to hopefully serve in the  U.S. Army as a nurse corps. It is without doubt that these things will not be easy- I will question if I have made the right decision or what I am meant to do. In those moments I will remember my “why”, remember why I wanted to become a nurse in the first place. And, to you all, to my teachers, future colleagues, and self, I promise I will work my absolute hardest to become the best nurse I can be- “Aim for the moon. If you miss, you may hit a star.” -W. To end this letter, it is with my deepest gratitude to say thank you. I look forward to hopefully writing to you soon. Thank you for bringing me one step closer to my dreams.

I just wanted to say thank you so much for awarding me the Ocala Royal Dames for Cancer Research Endowed Scholarship  I am truly grateful for your generosity and support. It means so much to me.

My name is Gianna Eaderoso and I am studying Respiratory Care at the College of Central Florida. My goal is to work in healthcare and help others, just like the rest of my family has done. This scholarship will help ease some of the financial stress of school so I can focus on learning and gaining experience in my field.

This year I am focused on keeping my grades strong, doing well in my clinical training, and continuing to grow toward becoming a respiratory therapist.

 Thank you so much for awarding me the Ocala Royal Dames for Cancer Research, Inc. Endowed Scholarship. I am truly grateful for your generosity and support. My name is Sara Ellis, and I am a nursing student at the College of Central Florida. I am in my fourth semester of the ADN program, and my goal is to become a cardiovascular ICU nurse and continue growing in the field to better serve others. I have aspired to become a nurse from a young age because I have a strong desire to help others during times they need it most.

As a first-generation college student, this scholarship means so much to me. It allows me to stay focused on my education and growth as a nurse without the added financial stress. This year, my goal is to strengthen my clinical confidence and support my community by providing excellent patient centered care at one of our local hospitals.
